If The Rock trying to stop a giant ape, wolf and crocodile from destroying a city sounds stupid to you, then skip this. If, however, you are like me and think that sounds ridiculously fun, then you should see it.

A Quiet Place review
It's good. A horror movie that actually focuses on characters, while also effectively building tension with a lack of sound.
Ghost Stories review
I'm very divided on Ghost Stories.
For most of the film, I was really enjoying it. There were good scares, an effective build of tension and creepiness, some interesting ideas, and enough ambiguity to be enjoyable, but not too confusing. It was quite an entertaining fun fair thrill ride.
Then, the twists started. At first, I went along with it, as I was interested where they were going to take it. Sadly, the twists kept coming, and the final one seemed so lazy that it made me appreciate the film as a whole less. When I say lazy, I mean it's extremely overused and is a joke. The ending is actually set up well throughout the film when you think about it. But there are parts of the ending which seem inserted to explain away stuff the ending couldn't explain on its own. I also don't think it answers some of the questions brought up during the film, and also introduces more questions without answers.
In short: If you like horror films, you should see it and make up your own mind. If you will watch horror films, but aren't a big fan of them, I would also say that you should see it and decide for yourself.
Journeyman review
This is a great film. It is very emotional, the characters are all believable and well defined, and the performances by the cast - especially Jodie Whittaker and Paddy Considine - are fantastic. If you get the opportunity to see it, please do. Just know that it is not a typical boxing film.
Ready Player One review
I really liked it. It is a very entertaining blockbuster movie. So what if its pandering and the story isn't completely original? That doesn't matter. I don't know what you were expecting if you were disappointed in those aspects of the film. It was also nice to see Lena Waithe in something other than Master of None. Also, this along with Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, The Limehouse Golem, and Thoroughbreds have convinced me that Olivia Cooke is one of the best new actors working today; along with people like Lakeith Stanfield and Caleb Landry Jones.
Pacific Rim: Uprising review
Nowhere near as good as the original. The first hour drags on and for too long and ends up feeling like Power Rangers meets Ender's Game. But when Charlie Day does the thing, it becomes more fun, but it can't get rid of the feeling that it is ripping off Power Rangers.
A Wrinkle in Time review
Eh, it's OK. I'm not the target audience, but I'm sure the 7 to 12 audience (or thereabout) will like it though.
Blockers review
Very funny. Much better than any other typical American comedy recently. While the 3 leads were all very good, the actresses playing their daughters were surprisingly funny as well. It's a good time with a modern message. It very easily could have gone one way, but decided to be Hollywood progressive (which means actually looking around and realising things changed years ago).
